1-How do I specify which E-mail account I’m sending from if I have Multiple E-mail Accounts? (top)

If you have set up multiple e-mail accounts in Microsoft Outlook, you can specify which account to use when sending a message.
1.  In the message, click Accounts.
2.  Click the account you want to use.

Notes - By default, e-mail is sent by using the account specified as the default in the E-Mail Accounts Wizard (Tools, E-mail Accounts command). For example, your default account may be your work e-mail account, but you can specify to send a message from another e-mail account, such as your personal account.

Sending messages from your ISP account may require you to be connected to that provider in order to receive permission to use the e-mail server. Contact your network administrator or ISP for more information.

2-How do I reset my password?(top)

If you go to settings and click on the Password tab, you will need your current password and then you can set a new password.

3-How do I create new mailboxes?(top)

Once you have your mail client opened, click on the Mailboxes tab. Click on Add New Mailboxes, In the right panel you will name the new and select Mailbox Type.  When you finish creating the new mailbox, click on the down arrow right above the mailboxes to take you back to the main screen.

4-How do I change my passwords over the web?(top)

  1. SMTP/ESMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) for relaying messages on the internet.
  2. IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) for accessing messages and integrating with 3rd party applications.
  3. POP and RPOP (Post Office Protocol) for retrieving messages from primary server and polling remote servers.
  4. LDAP Directory (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) for white pages and provisioning.
  5. ACAP (Application Configuration Access Protocol) to allow address books to be stored on the server.
  6. SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) for system monitoring and administration.
  7. SSL/TLS (Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security) for security across the network.

5-How do I backup my CommuniGate Pro message store?(top)

The CommuniGate Pro message store allows for "live" backups using any regular backup-restore program. The server does not have to be stopped to do a backup.
CommuniGate Pro will work with any back-up software appropriate to your operating system. CommuniGate Pro requires that no file locking mechanisms are used during the backup process. In the event that file locking is used, the system may be unintentionally brought down or account information corrupted.

6-Does CommuniGate Pro support virus scanning?(top)

CommuniGate Pro uses its Plugin technology to integrate various virus-scanning engines. The CommuniGate Pro server starts Plugins as external application running alongside the server.
All messages, regardless of how they are submitted, are scanned. This means that messages between local users are scanned, too. Virus scanning is done before the messages are stored in local message store, or relayed outside, or processed with an internal module.
